Das war nicht meine Vorstellung, dass ich schon wieder nach Haiti reisen musste. Aber die Schwierigkeiten am Bau der drei Schulgebäude konnten wir nur durch Anwesenheit klären.
Es ist enorm schwierig auf die Entfernung von Deutschland nach Haiti per Telefon, Skype und Internet (funktioniert alles sehr schlecht) und per Whatsapp (funktioniert gut), einen Bau zu managen. Lieber nehme ich die große Anstrengung auf mich und fahre nochmals hin, obwohl Temperatur und Wetterlage alles andere als angenehm sind.
Am Sonntag geflogen. Die Reise verlief bis jetzt sehr hektisch, das Gepäck kam nicht an, ich hatte nach der Zwischenlandung in Atlanta selbst mein Handgepäck aufgegeben, da ich so viele Bücher darin hatte und es schwer wie Zement war. Allerdings war auch der Projekt-Schlüssel darin. Fuhr also nur mit „nichts“ vom Flughafen los.
Hier ist Regenzeit und abends dann am ersten Fluss, der zu durchqueren ist- sonst ein Rinnsal, jetzt hörte man schon von weitem das Donnern des Wassers. Ich konnte nicht weiter und fand bei Klosterschwestern hinter Hinche Übernachtungsmöglichkeit. Konnte dann am nächsten Mittag die Flüsse durchqueren, es war unvorstellbar, gefährlich und höchst grenzwertig. Inzwischen soll auch mein Gepäck gelandet sein, aber ich mache die Tour momentan auf keinen Fall nochmals zurück.
Die Schulgebäude sind sehr schön, die Stimmung am Projekt trotz Regenzeit gut. Leider ist alles unter Wasser. Das Wasser kam so schlimm, dass es sogar unsere massive Wasserleitung weg gerissen hat.
Der neue haitianische Präsident hat vor einer Woche Maissade besucht und hat versprochen, sich um Brücken und eine Straße zwischen Hinche und Maissade zu kümmern. Morgen kommt er wieder in diese Region- bin mal gespannt…..
Es hat 90 % Luftfeuchtigkeit und unsere Felder und Gärten sind explodiert.
